Back To Normal

Hi there!  I am still here, but things have been kinda crazy for the last week and a half or so and blogging has not been on my mind!  And here is why ...

Well, you may or may not know that I am paper crafting obsessed.  I love making cards, tags, mini albums and altered items, and paper crafting has been 'good medicine' for me as it has helped me to work through several years of depression.  And not only do I enjoy the 'craft', I enjoy the industry as well, and have come to enjoy keeping up with trends and products and other designers via the internet.  Well, this weekend marks the start of the 'big mack daddy' event for the paper crafting industry ... 'CHA-W', or the winter Craft and Hobby Association trade show in Anaheim, California.  It is my dream to one day go to CHA, and am working to that end, but so far it hasn't worked out.  BUT! ...

If I can't go, the second best thing is to have some of my projects on display in a booth at CHA, and this year, as a Design Team Member for Basically Bare, I will have several projects on display in their booth!  And I got an assignment for the show only a little over a week ago, so I have been crafting and stressing and obsessing over getting these things done!  I have done two albums ... just finished the second one yesterday ... and they will be on display, as well as a couple of other projects that I have made for the Basically Bare Design Team.  One is this sweet place card / photo frame that I made a few weeks ago ...

And the image is me at about 2 years old.  And another project that will be on display are two super cute Christmas ornaments ...

Aren't they cute?  They are made from the Basically Bare 'Hats and Staches' embellishment collection, using a 'bowler' hat for the face, and then a different hat and mustache for each one.

I am very excited and 'joyous' to know that some of my projects will be visiting CHA-Winter and representing me!  I even have friends who will be there and have promised to go to the booth and take pictures of my projects for me!

So, that (I hope) will explain my absence ... I have just been so busy working on new things for the show.  But now I am almost done (about 1 hours work and it will be finished) and can relax a bit, and get back to normal.  Today I am taking my 82 y/o Mama to do her running around, and I love spending time with her!

That's it from me today!  Don't forget to look for joy wherever you can find it!  Blessings,
